The staff greeted me warmly, making me feel welcomed right away. The wood floors in the room caught my eye. they felt cleaner than typical carpets. However, it wasn’t all good. The bathroom could use some updates, as it felt aged. The noise from neighboring rooms interrupted my sleep. I also noticed some cleanliness issues. the surfaces could have been cleaner. Overall, I appreciate the price point and the friendly service, but improvements in room condition and soundproofing would enhance the experience significantly.

Unboxing my experience

Arriving at this roadside gem, I had high hopes, but it quickly turned into a saga of surprises. Discomfort was my companion all night, and the air conditioning was a tease, blowing hot air intermittently. There were also issues with cleanliness that nagged at my stay. Still, the location is convenient for travelers crossing through!

The staff was incredibly friendly, going out of their way to assist, such as keeping an eye on my parked motorcycle and helping with my insulin needs. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired, with floors that appeared unswept and lingering odors in the hallways.

I stayed in a King Room, Non-Smoking for 1 night. The bed was really uncomfortable, and the room could use an update. The bathroom felt old, and I wished breakfast was included. On the plus side, the staff was friendly, and I appreciated that the ice machine was supposed to work, even if it didn’t. Parking felt safe enough to leave my truck outside, which is a plus.

the location of motel 6 elk city, ok is great, especially for those traveling to california. the front desk clerk was super polite and made my check-in smooth. also, plenty of parking was a nice touch, allowing me to keep an eye on my truck.
